How to get the best Dell deal
Have you ever made any Dell purchase online? Yes? How about customizing it?
You might have or have not noticed this, but I found out recently when helping a friend to source for a laptop that you can make a better deal if you just make a little bit more of effort.
If you are going to buy a product (one of the same model with different specifications available for choosing) and you intend to customize it, you had better customize whatever the choice there is to the same specification and see which has the lower price.
Take for the example of a Dell Studio 14 laptop:
It’s the same model of Dell Studio 14, but you have a choice of picking a cheaper one at RM 2799 or a slightly better one at RM 2899.
Unless you’re buying it straight from the menu, you might be considering of upgrading/customizing it with better specifications.
If you’re customizing it, then I’d suggest you to customise all the models to see which is the best deal. Just like the case below.
If you started at the cheaper one RM 2799 and upgraded to a specification of a price at RM 3613, a check on the upgrade of RM 2899 will only cost you RM 3479 eventually. Mind you, the specification of the laptop for both RM 3613 and RM 3479 is the same but with a price difference of RM 134! For the price you saved, you could probably get an additional 1GB RAM into your purchase.
