The benefits and risks of social networks (Part 1)

Assalamualaikum..to all my classmate and friends out there...this is my first post at this blog...actually I really wanna share my opinion about the increasing use of social network and how it is beneficial to us..Check it out guys...

Nowadays, millions of young users see the communication opportunities of services like MySpace, Friendster as well as Facebook, while most of the mature users worries about the privacy and securities of its. So they have provided guidance and helpful hints about how to manage privacy in the new online realms. Today’s youngsters are learning how to develop a sense of self and to understand the relationship via online which is between the virtual and physical world.

* From my observation, social networks are here to stay; in fact, they are no longer even “hot”. They have become an integral part of youngster development. So the issues for young people and social networks are common. My cousin (middle- and high-school age) says that MySpace is for when you want to sell yourself to the world, Friendster is for finding old friends, Facebook is for use at college or school-and this is not surprising anymore even it started as early as 12 year old!

* In my point of views, social-networking services reach well beyond the early media representation, and many people know that the question is not whether Facebook and MySpace are good or evil. Millions of adults also enjoy their use. Alumni organizations, for instance, have found them to be great tools for posting pictures of new spouses, fiancé, babies, and career improvements, for connecting old friends, and for circulate information about reunions.

Thus, the question of whether social networks would have a place nowadays has long been answered with a loud-Yes. The question that remains is how we might find them useful in circulating information, as well as in merely social contexts.
