Rigid Business Hierarchies are now entering to the Obsolete Era.
It is true that somehow the environment may change the design of an organization. The organization’s environment can be influence by many factors. The external factors may forces the organization to change a little bit and follow the conduct that is accepted by the environment. The traditional form of organization has been transform to a more organic approach where there is a lot more employees’ contribution. The technical people or can be describe as the “effort people” has the opportunity to say something about the management. Having to include in the discussion that what should be in the company’s strategy and agreeing that is the right one. The article can be best expressed as the transformation of most organization from the rigid mechanistic style of management into more flexible organic organization. What has push most of the organization throughout the world change in accordance with this turbulent of environment? This might be due to the thinking of the stakeholders especially the employees has been shifted. Now, the development of the employees has been one of the important issues in the organization. Most of the organizations are running towards the efforts to show that they care to their employees. The organizations are now value the employees due to the fact that they has been acknowledged that a company’s human capital is its most valuable and sustainable competitive assets. The more companies and organizations involved seriously in this efforts, the better choices are open to the employees. Therefore, the employees would be more selective in nature. What is happening in the management of other organization is rather threatening for the other organization. Thus, as describe in the article, the imperialistic attitude towards leadership is not an option if the organization expect to thrive while attracting and retaining top talent. It is important for the organization to look appeal and one of the factors to look appeal is to adopt the organic structure of management. It is a need to demonstrate visibly that the managers value their employees. How? It can be obtained by reducing the gap between leaders and employees, leaders need to be approachable, open a direct communication, try to mix with the employees at best and many more ways. To add, this is the example of transformation of management towards organic approach. In a nutshell, “imperial” leadership which uses to traditionally focus on managing companies’ financial assets and the high-profile of CEOs cannot be sustained in this era. This is because; people judge and they make decision. Their decisions determine whether the organization is losing their top talents or retaining them. That is all.
